South Beach, Miami has long been a haven for sun, surf and culture. It’s also the home of SWIM WEEK, so it felt like the perfect place to capture our new Snow Leopard collection.
We caught up with Jazmin to get all the insights on this Art-Deco wonderland full of great food, beautiful buildings and hot sun.
QUICK 5 WITH JAZMIN:
1. What is your favourite thing about South Beach?
I would have to say the funky colors and architecture you see when walking the strips. It is like stepping back in to the 70’s. I found myself taking photos of almost every hotel on Ocean Drive, they were all vibrant and quirky.
2. Where did you stay?
We stayed at the Shelborne Hotel. It is a beautiful boutique hotel—I couldn’t stop photographing it.
3. Favourite beach or place to hang in South Beach?
We really enjoyed walking Ocean Drive. Our first stop was the Versace Mansion after watching on Netflix “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.” We would walk this every day; stopping to eat, shop and enjoy the views! If you have never been to Miami, or are planning a visit to—You MUST walk Ocean Drive.
4. Best place to eat?
My favorite place to eat was a little cafe called “Tropical Beach Cafe.” It is in North Beach, Miami, and it was filled with all the locals on their lunch break. We had cuban sandwiches after a long morning of bike riding!
5. Why did you choose these sets from Moss & Malibu?
After wearing the Tide Pool Set in Hawaii last year, I knew I needed a piece from the new design launch. It was so perfect to walk around in and fun enough for Miami. I definitely made a statement at the pool—everyone loved it!
